La Vecchia Officina di Calamita

Dal primo Giugno riapre al pubblico il Museo della Vecchia Officina del Monte Calamita, sopra il cantiere Vallone, a sei chilometri dal centro di Capoliveri.

Il piccolo museo conserva un archivio cartografico della miniera e riproduce gli ambienti tipici del lavoro dei cavatori, per raccontare la vita, le tradizioni e la cultura di uno dei più antichi paesi minerari dell’ Isola d’Elba.

La Vecchia Officina è aperta dalle 9,30 alle 12,30, dal lunedì al sabato fino al 30 settembre; si raggiunge seguendo la strada dei minatori del Calamita, un sentiero panoramico molto suggestivo,  indicato anche per percorsi trekking e mountain bike.
